Me: Geologist, paleontologist, IT guy & amateur photographer. Showing the spaces and places I got to like, admire - and fear.
Lost Places: are discontinuities. An expression of economic, social or political disruption. Usually, buildings that are no longer needed are quickly removed, and the land is revegetated or redeveloped. Usually.
Lost Places always tell two stories: Their own, and that of the times after they were abandoned. Some Lost Places became pristine time capsules. Others were looted and vandalized. And in some, things take place that should remain hidden. That's how it's been for millennia. And so it will go on.
